Day 019:
  • More enemy pixelling~

Restarted the enemies i was working on because they werent meshing well with the rest of the art.

@Paul Eres- That link is a figment of your imagination  Cry.  But yes, ive seen that game for awhile now.  I guess I'll have to change my name sooner or later.

Day 025:
  • More NPC's for the first village
Soo I guess any non believers can keep on not believing till monday since i left my sketchbook at school Facepalm.

I've decided that I'm going to do weekly updates from now on though.  Daily updates make me feel like Ive done so little, then i sum it up at the end of the week and it seems like Ive done quite  a bit more than i thought I did initially.  So I'll probably just be posting every friday from now on. (Except for those sketches which im going to show on monday)
TL;DR- Weekly update make me happy, Daily updates make me sad.

Hey guys! Linx isn't with us at the moment, so i'll be taking care of this week's DevPost.

So what did we get done? Good question. It's break and we had lots of time for gaming...and deving, I suppose  Big Laff
Our good friend RavenMonkey from the GMC has temp. joined the team and made us some awesome concept art!



I know. It's too good to be true  No No NO


So I made some engines as well:
  • Dialogue Framework (Basic)
  • Input System (Advanced)]

So it's pretty basic, I don't even have a portrait in there yet.
But the text-wrapping seems to work fine and I've got the size down I think.


Input System (Advanced):



I'd actually worked on this awhile back, making engines for future projects such as this Cool
You can't tell very much from the screenshot, so i'll list the features so far:

  • Basic Keyboard Input
  • Move Cursor (Left/Right Keys)
  • Backspace (Anywhere)
  • Delete (Anywhere)
  • Submit/Cancel (Enter/Escape)

It's suprisingly hard to make a proper input system in GameMaker, and I'm glad I have one!

That concludes this week's progress! Hopefully we'll start getting back on track a ton more when Linx gets back.
