-Resident Evil 5, March 2009 with Online Coop!
-Fable 2 goes gold, out October

-Xbox gets new user interface, Mii ripoffs
-Geometry Wars 2 out this holiday
-UNO Rush out this holiday
-Banjo-Kazooie (the original) on XBLA
-Xbox-exclusive portal sequel called Portal: Still Alive
-Lips karaoke game
-Final Fantasy XIII for 360 in USA
Nintendo:
-Shaun White Snowboarding. full balance board compatibility. exclusive to Wii, Holiday 2008.
-Animal Crossing City Folk. New city area in Wii version. Full online features like Wild World. holiday 2008.
-WiiSpeak, "community microphone." holiday 2008.
-GTA: Chinatown Wars exclusively for DS holiday 2008.

Wii MotionPlus- New accessory for enhanced motion control, will be packaged with a Wii Sports sequel. Attaches to the bottom plug of the remote, assuming there will be a slot for the Nunchuk. Game includes fencing, frisbee, and, if I'm not mistaken, jet skiing.
Wii Music is back- drums and saxophone confirmed.
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. DS Game, set in Liberty City. Awesome.

I saw this beautiful gameplay from Galaga Legions yesterday. And it's out later this year! Press shows usually drive me crazy because they show games five hundred years before anyone will be able to play them. I guess I'll be spending lots of money on Live Arcade over the next few months with this, Braid, and Castle Crashers. Good thing I don't have a Playstation 3 or it'd be an even bigger bill, I'm sure  |

Yeah, Galaga does look pretty damn awesome actually. I don't know why but it slightly bothers me that you can move the craft up and down now, maybe that is just nostalgia talking....
The Wii microphone...about fucking time, Nintendo.
and the same can be said about 1:1 control
Man, I really wish that they would have had some gameplay footage of GTA on the DS already...

The lack of news is terrifying. Hopefully it just means that e3 is becoming irrelevant, rather than that there is nothing at all new to report. I mean, when people are getting excited over microphones, and that BIG NEWS is that Bungie has No News, things getting broke.

I was a bit disappointed too. Then I woke up this morning and saw Fat Princess and new Rhythm Tengoku. I hope Fat Princess has splitscreen and bots. Does anyone else hate being forced to play online in most new deathmatch games, or is it just me? I would have loved Team Fortress 2 if I could have just played against bots instead of getting yelled at by pseudo-teammates online. I mean, when people are getting excited over microphones, and that BIG NEWS is that Bungie has No News, things getting broke.
Yeah, stuff like this drives me crazy. Every year it gets more obsessive and jingoistic. I wish people would forget about exclusives and sequels and cutscenes and 200-hour-long open world experiences and just give me a game. But I'm sure everyone else here feels the same way |
