B-AIR UNLIMITED
Working Title

What is B-Air Unlimited?
This is a project of mine I've been working on for a while. It's made in GM7. It'll be an action RPG in an open-ended world. That's really all I know about it so far.

What's with the name?
Yes, good question. It's really too long a story, but let's suffice to say that it's sort of a sequel to its predecessor, B-Air Forever, which wasn't very good. But I want to learn from it; to take the best parts of it and cut out the fat.

What have you done so far?
As of right now, I've made an engine and some slimes to beat up, and I'm working on the first area. Here are some screenshots and a link to the current version:

B-Air Unlimited 0.07
Older Versions:
B-Air Unlimited 0.06
B-Air Unlimited 0.05

Note: The versions so far only feature test rooms. I'm working on the Area 1 (the first 'real') demo currently.

Other Stuff:
-Inspiration: Alien Soldier, Dark Souls, Dungeon Crawl/Nethack, Purple
-The healthbars are pretty much directly copied from DkS. I'm a horrible person.
-The fog effect is not my own; if the other graphics are terrible feel free to tell me so (I'm not a self-proclaimed artist by any means)

Now this is a story all about how
My sprite got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute - just sit right there
I'll tell how I got playin with a gam called B-Air

From a small GameMaker zip it was born and raised
On the desktop where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all flipping some airtime outside of the school
When a couple of slimes, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my dude got scared
And said, "You're flipping all cross the screen - this is B-Air"

I whistled for new dude and when it came near,
The name line said "Arqa" and had a sword it was clearer
If anything I could say that this dude was rare
But I thought nah, forget, yo homes to B-Air!

I pulled up to a slime about seven or eight
And I yelled to the slimey, "Yo homes, smell ya latah!"
Looked at my screen and I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of B-Air.

@starsrift: Thanks. I never expected to receive a reply in the form of an adaptation of a song. And the Fresh Prince! Really, I'm honored.

Progress!
-Added SFX
-Added some weapons showcasing all the elemental attributes. These weapons, along with HP, Stamina, and color of characters are all randomized at the start of this game for testing purposes.

Working on enemies that move around, but it's tough going because they're solid and solid objects interacting with objects that can't move into them (like the player) is oh-so-messy. Also, here's some more screenshots:

Dark weapon effect.

Electric air attack.

And version 0.06:

Alright, more progress!
-Attack types (pierce, slash, strike) and spears and hammers to go with them
-More enemies
-Other stuff!

New tileset! Gasp!

B-Air Unlimited 0.07

Heh, the bomb-spitters are cold-blooded killers. Perfect Evil

Anyway, I've been wondering about the HUD recently. I might change its size later to be less space-consuming (how or what I'll change exactly is yet to be determined).

Started work on the first area.

I still have a long way to go before I have a playable first area, so bear with me (No, I'm not going to make that into a pun); I'll have a new demo in a little while.

Thanks for reading!

Okay, more stuff!

I'm still working the first area. I made most of the tutorial, and now I'm working on the pause menu. Menus, augh.

Anyway,
