I like the bass module (perhaps could do with a little more volume), but the gimmick sound widget doesn't make much sense to me. What is it doing? What is that noise? Whyyyyy?
But bassline + snare/bass speaker is groovy.

i'm a little different on this, i think the bass module isn't that great because it plays too much. Maybe it should just play one note of its riff when its activated, then the next note etc. the FX unit is kinda cool, for an extra rhythm thing.

The first sound in that widget is a breath-ish sound.  Were you able to cycle through the sounds in that widget?

The plan for the gimmick widget is to provide a set number of odd ambient sounds to add to the texture of the melody. The plan is to allow the user to choose and cycle between various sounds by clicking on the object or by connecting to a special node that will change the sound type when a pulse is received.

Right now, there is no graphical feedback for the widget so it is kind of hard to tell. But will be implemented soon enough!

Hey Duo, all the libraries I used to compile the game should be cross platform on Linux, however I have never tried, also I do not have the Linux OS installed on this comp. My apologies! I wonder why it doesn't work on wine, what kind of error does it produce?

Anyhow, major update today. Included 2 new song packs for yall to try out! Thanks to Jack for pumpin out these sweet songs mega-fast! You can access any of the three song packs by clicking on the left module during the title screen. However, currently, there is no way to return back to the title screen so you have to restart the app if you want to try out other song packs. Sorry for the inconvenience. Nevertheless, I will implement it soon enough!

The two new song packs that are included in this version are:
1. Another trip-hop style beat
2. Chip tunes!

Also, the title menu has been slightly revamped a bit in order to add a light tutorial to the title screen. My goal is that absolute newbies, who have never seen this game before, will have some idea of how to use the system once they have successfully passed the title screen.

Future updates (wish-list) include
1. different layouts per song back
2. post-processed bloom shader effect
3. A way to get back to the title screen
4. Allowing to save the songs to .WAV format

As always, you can acquire the latest build here: http://illogictree.com/games/funktronic/

Cheers!  Beer!

Small update but great news! Jack and I decided to release funktronic3000 under the Creative Commons license! That is, all raw sounds and any sounds generated from the app is licensed under Creative commons.

It's great  Evil

Please finish it, it will remove music problems in my games! Also, it would be nice to have some "techno-like" music to create   Hand Shake LeftGomezHand Shake Right

Thanks kamac!

Although the current build only works on PC, I wrote the current code base to be cross-platform. If anyone would be interested in porting funktronic3000 to MacOSX, that would be mad tight yo!

Let me know if you are interested!
