Hi there! Smiley

My name's James and I'm a composer/musician/audio guy/gamer based in Southampton. I've just finished a Masters degree in Games Audio and Composition so I'm just starting up as a freelancer in the Industry. I met some great indie game developer guys at Eurogamer this year and they pointed me in the direction of TIGSource and told me to get involved! So here I am...

My showreel has just gone live on Youtube, complete with lovely videos of game footage, and I have a load of stuff on Soundcloud:

http://bit.ly/vK3XIz (Youtube) - There's a whole bunch of stuff here, featuring interactive audio and some sound design elements
www.soundcloud.com/supersmashbro - I've uploaded the complete, unadulterated and uncut versions of my tunes here

As a games audio specialist, I have experience with apps like Wwise and FMOD, and I can compose in a variety of styles, from retro chip-tune (if you want to hear some cool remixes and tunes I've done let me know) to large scale filmic orchestrations.

I'm looking to get involved on the TIG forums more so looking forward to chatting to some of you!

And if any of you are on twitter, give me a follow (@jamesashdown), or likewise Facebook (Facebook.com/jjfa106).

Hope you like what you hear :]

Hey James,
I really enjoyed your showreel - particularly Rub a dub (though felt it was a litttle reverb-heavy at times) - great music though.
It's great that you can show not only cinematic style trailer-type music but also ingame audio - particularly the interactive stuff.
Anyhow, great to see what others are doing in the industry - better up my game!

Good luck in finding work,

Calum
