I'm thinking of a getting a graphics tablet. Any suggestions?

This might be more in-place in the Art and Design forum, but whatever.

I'm more programmer than artist so it doesn't get any serious use, but I'm more than happy with my wacom bamboo. Cheap and really small.

Wacom is usually what you'll want. They do specialize on tablets. Which one of their tablets you'll get depends on how serious you are about it. If you just wanna have some fun you should probably get a small and cheap one. Or if you're some kind of big professional you could always spend 3 grand on a Cintiq.

Get a wacom, don't bother with Adesso or other small brands, they aren't worth it.  There isn't much difference in performace, but the difference in quality is huge.

Alright, I'm considering a Bambooo Fun since I don't plan on doing anything complicated. Any reason not to get it?

Go for it. 99 bucks is pretty cheap for a tablet.

i have the 79$ plain bamboo: http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/bamboo.cfm

the only difference to the bamboo fun is the missing mouse and better design.

If this is your first graphic tablet, I would definitely recommend a Wacom Bamboo.

Then, you can choose between the Bamboo or the Bamboo Fun. As you can see here, the main difference between them is the included software, the mouse AND the sizes available: The Bamboo Fun has 2 different sizes (small and medium).

I have the medium Bamboo Fun, and tried several times the small one, and I think that the medium is much better (but it's more expensive too, obviously).

I was under the impression that the bamboo range didn't support pressure sensitivity which can be a big deal if you intend to use photoshop or the like.

I've owned both the Graphire and Intuos models and recommend either one, although the difference in performance between the two wasn't massively noticeable to me.

And I wouldn't buy outside of Wacom, most (all?) of them require disposable batteries for the pens.

The Bamboo range DOES support pressure sensitivity (of course!). The thing that the bamboos don't have is tilt sensitivity.
