Wow, thank you  Grin
The current plan is to have a "small version" of the game completed within a few weeks.
If it's enjoyed, then we can expand upon it. Perhaps a level editor like Knytt as well. We'll see what happens Smiley

Thanks again though!

Looking forward to it!
A level editor sounds like a great idea; it gave Knytt a long-lasting life, and would've spawned an entire universe of Cave Story stories had that game been blessed with one :3

(Also, nublets like myself love to stack walls and stuff around and pretend we're making actual games ;_;)

This is really cool.

It looks beautiful and feels really fluid to play. I just burned 20 mins playing that little randomly generated wall jump thing too, it was fun Tongue

Haha  thank you both! How do you feel about that wall jumping game? Do you think that it's worth polishing up and finishing that as well? It was just my spin on a game like Canabalt or Doodle Jump  Coffee

This looks neat, but I can't seem to find the playable link in this thread to test it out. I wanted to try it Droop.

I'm on my phone right now, so it's tough for me to find it. I'll post a new one in a few days anyway though  Coffee

Yes. The walljumping (and jumping in general) feels very...right, and so I found myself jumping from wall to wall for quite som time,  just for the fun of it Grin Hand Thumbs Up Right

Hey Zack just played the demo! I'm not sure I like how fast the player movement is but it looks good and feels solid to play so far.

Hey, thanks! The player's maximum run speed has been toned down from about an 8 to about a 6. I hope that is enough of a difference for the people who pointed it out!

Myself and Angelbait are working on some level design while Herror is finishing up the fourth tileset and starting on some backgrounds.

Here's how things are going down! (unless I've already said this in the devLog  Shrug)

A "small build" is currently being developed. Each of the main areas of the game will consist of approximately eight rooms each. It will practically be the end product, but with half of the content. This is because I wanted this game to just be quick and for fun, but if people enjoy it, we can always expand on it!

Tonight we worked on some level design. The cave area (shown in the second screenshot on page 1) is almost complete. After a few more test runs, we will tile the room and make it pretty.

It will depend on everyone's reaction to the game as well as how I feel about the game after it's finished. I'm in school right now and want to experiment with several engines and platforms.

This one is using Game Maker 8.12. Tonight I started my quest towards learning Flashpunk, so that is what I will use next!

As you can see, we have background and foreground images for the sky levels. Today I will be playing with parallax and making it even more awesome!

Plus, I replicated the controls of this game in flashpunk  Grin Grin Grin
