Gravey There'll probably be wists of mist/fog/whatever that come tumbling through every once in awhile. I'm on my way home tomorrow afternoon, so expect this to be finished by the end of the week EDIT: not Skullboy, but Skullboy on the pogo-stick minigame :D

Looks cool! The character reminds me a bit of cubone, from the old pokemon games.

Bit more done on the GUI. Also, I finished the whole intro splash and everything, too, which Battlerager wrote a cool little ditty for. Combo system is now underway.

I don't know about the black lines in the elements up top what if you just had them without lines, just solid colours, with transparent space where lines used to be?

Comme ça? I could make the top-left one solid, because it gets really ugly where all the lines gather at the corner. But the one at the right is your level-meter, and I'd like it to be easily distinguished how many "bars" are in it. The level-bars are key to gameplay. But the one at the top-left is the combo-meter, so you just have to hit the next enemy before it runs out to continue the combo.

Then perhaps add another pixels width of space in between the bars.

you could just have a solid-colored circle-section cover the vertex of the meter, and have the lines extrude at a point where it no longer looks awkward.

Or you could just have the lines go a quarter of the way to the upper corner, like the odometer of a car.

That's a good suggestion, actually Xion. I think it might look a bit better if they didn't go straight into the corners. Have sort of orange-slice shapes.
I'll add another pixel between the bars, and take a circle chunk out of the corners.

what about using a gradient on those bars on the top left and right. It looks a bit plain to me. Either way, this looks awesome. I'm a bit confused, is this a mini-game inside the game?
Edit: Just watched the video... That is amazing,ChevyRay! Excellent music composition, Battlerager. I love the song.

Thanks a lot! Random "trivia" about the songThe song's name is "Monocle & Pogostick". That song was actually a random idea I noted down while working on other skullboy music, and it didn't really fit anywhere. Then this minigame came up, and I felt that was the chance to flesh this song out and put it to (hopefully) good use! (Its still pretty minimalistic, compared to the music I write otherwise. It's only two piano tracks, a bass track and drums, and often enough, only one piano track is playing at all.)

Thank you Can you give me an example? Like, have the color slightly change, instead of the space between bars?

The music is great, and the game looks damn enjoyable.
But dear god, the sound when you hit a pig is SO VERY annoying.

Haha, first I've heard of that. But if I hear it more, it'll be replaced. It's hard to get a good sound when its one you have to hear OVER AND OVER again. I'm not good at making sounds anyhow.
