+ survive as long as you can
+ eat berries
+ seek light
+ build yourself a shelter

Langtonia is a "Minecraft"/"Under the garden" inspired game. My main goal was to make a hard surviving game and a sandbox to build complex mechanisms (you can build self-replicating structures). A great emphasis was placed on monsters (mobs): some are really dangerous, and on some you have to rely to process your minerals, spawn bushes and other stuff. Many game mechanics are based on mobs.

Use the arrow keys to move around, Z to dig, X and C to place stuff, A,S and D to navigate through the inventory.

Comment and leave your thoughts; feedback is greatly appreciated. Smiley

Linux and Mac versions will be made available as soon as I get to test them properly.

UPDATE2: Runs fine and dandy on Linux

I played with it a little bit and my biggest suggestion would be to use the mouse. It would greatly simplify the controls.

I'm trying to play the game but both the fullscreen and windowed batch files don't start the game for me.

Does it say anything in the console?
Extract the game first and make sure you have Java.

I've updated the game: made the graphics neater and fixed some bugs.
I've also added a page featuring the basic tiles -->http://madflame991.blogspot.com/p/langtonia-guide-part-1-blocks.html
