I'm kind of frightened by your guys's collective creative output. You're going to end up tearing a hole in space/time/internets with all this awesomeness. You don't deserve us

Hello this is Pencerkoff Quick! Someone make a Pong demake Crumple up paper in ball and throw at coworker in cubicle next to you. Also... can I demake a program that isn't a game? It would become a game, if that helps your decision. PENCERKOFF

Hmm, I'd like to demake a Wii game to the DS. Is the DS too recent a platform for that to count?

I have no idea what you have in mind, but yes, Pencerkoff, of course you can.

For this competition it means that you cannot use any trademarked names or ripped materials. Everything must be 100% your own (although obviously inspired). Define "ripped materials". Say I use Doga to create some models and generate 2d sprites from them. Technically, I didn't create the parts that make up the model, though (as far as I know) the parts are all public domain. Is that a fair use for purposes of this contest? Regards, Corporate Dog

I'm not familiar with Doga, but if it's like any other 3d modelling/graphics program then that should be fine.
What I meant by "not using ripped graphics" is don't pull graphics straight out of another game (or movie or whatever) and use them, or edit them.

What about a secondary compo for mockups? I know there are a lot of people who can make good mockups but no code. More than there are available coders probably. This could be interesting. And if a rogue coder notices something interesting he'd like to work on he could take contact with the graphist. Something like that should be done, perhaps 2-3 weeks into the main compo, or maybe even after the main compo?

Hey everyone, I've got an awesome idea for a game. I just need a programmer, an artist, a level designer, and a sound designer. As for me, I'm just more of an "idea" guy. I like to make everyone else do all the work and then pretend that my idea is somehow valuable enough to justify my position as "producer". Kidding, of course. Don't you love posts like this though?
