It is dawning of new era for GLORIOUS COUNTRY. Soon we will lead the world in all technologys. But sacrifices will have been made in the name of future. Step forward and rise up, NATION HEROES! I THINK IN A MINUTE OR SO I WILL EXPLODE A Frantic Arcade Platformer by Hangedman
This extended LD21 game is DONE! Vision is on hold while I finish this, and this has already helped me get back on track on it, so I'll be back to it as soon as I'm done. This is a flash game that I'm looking to polish and license. And situations permitting, I'm going to document the process. I know that such thing has been done to death. But I don't mind! If all else fails this here devlog will help me get my thoughts in order. I'd love any feedback, ideas, anything. If I have too much for this game, I'll just make a sequel! FLASH GAMES! And will instantly let us know when any Hero abuses Vigilant LEADER's generous hospitality by trying to escape. As well, we have procured the noble and skilled KomradeJack for music. Demo removed now DISCLAIMER: (Demo is not representative of final product, just basic mechanics) (Also, only Heros of GLORIOUS NATION are true Heros but the rest of you can play too in that one day you might aspire to LEADER's greatness. If you do not aspire to greatness, continue to live your decadent foolish lives and await the crushing fist of LEADER.)
(Also, holy crap are the controls way smoother when it loads fully externally. Hooray!)

Today I had class and then work. Hooray! But I made a bit of progress on some more propaganda ideas, and I cleaned up a few bugs. I also realized that my super font that I'm using in-game was only available to Fontstruct members. And my intent was to make it for everyone. So now it's available on my website! Feel free to use! Problem with failed excuses for HERO is motivation. We will find new ways to motivate! We will drive HERO forward and drive NATION forward. We must show foreignmans just how much blood, sweats, and tear we are willing to spend to further our purpose. To that ends: - Roving Eye of Glorious LEADER has been tweaked and scaled for difficulty
- Swapping blocks have been replaced with Encouragement Blocks which summon giant crushing arms
Fear not, potential HEROs. Soon all our work will come to fruits!

Yes, yes, yes and yes Every Xdm, the block pattern changes to one of several. The actual game also mixes in special effect blocks with the normal ones. The patterns are such that there should never be an impossible situation, although some block sets are definitely trickier than others. As for the difficulty, I originally tried to do it with the block sets, but it became impossible when it got to just one of each colour. So now the incremental difficulty is based on the Roving Eye of Glorious LEADER, which has been tweaked in the current dev version. Also 90%! The game is now feature complete. Time for polish and extras! Once in a while there are some ghosts in the code that cause an impossible edge case to happen, but I've added some solutions and am thinking about more.

Thinking of rolling the Story mode into a tutorial to give people a bit of flavour before they hit the endless mode.

Demo was a SMASHING success! Some good feedback, some good input, but mostly lots of people playing the game for incredibly long lengths of time (for an arcadey Flash game) and not having anything bad to say about it! The demo has now been taken down, because the game is sooooo close to being done it's crazy. Main menu is in and being tweaked. Wrote up a little sound handler so I can start and stop looping music from anywhere. Story mode constraints are being added. Music and sound is nearing final. All that's left is to get the high score/cookies working, get the options screen in, and we're off to the pitch
