Thank you! I should have been working on core mechanics and AI, so naturally I went ahead and made puddles! The puddles add so much depth to this - great work! The feeling of it being a 3D world, despite being 2D, reminds me strongly of Hollow Knight, which pulled off the effect really well, in my opinion. If you pushed the parallax a bit harder and added a foreground layer with small obstructions, that might help to sell it really well, I think. Otherwise, keep working on it! _______ It's been an eon since I posted on TIGForums, haha. Here's a GIF of a 2D arcade game I've been working on on-stream on YouTube for the past couple of weeks called Doorjamb. Made with Golang and Go-SDL2.  |
