I feel like the ground is snowy. Is that intentional? If not, I think fixing that up and perhaps adding some pronounced clouds to your background and even some sun shine/glare would fix up the mood a bit. Right now I get an awkward cold/north pole vibe.(it's awkward because there's palm trees and open ocean there too.)

Yeah the original definitely felt more sunny and vibrant but I like the feel of the blue tinge. Maybe you could restrict the blue to just the early morning phase of the day? So for most of the day it would have a warm orangey-tinge? The visuals really looks amazing either way.

I think the blue feels good, except that your character blends with it way too much. Especially considering that you're going for an oceanic theme, distinctifying the character from the setting more will probably do you a world of good. Maybe a bright green or orange?

Personally I think the dark blue of the water makes it look colder that what I imagine you're going for, based on the palm tree. When I think of tropical settings I think of brighter blues to greens as far as oceans go. Searching for "tropical beach" in Google images gives exactly what I'm imagining.

Awesome image, love it Not sure about the new Under the Ocean logo having the first two words in the old typeface. Understand the idea behind, it but think since everything else has been updated it looks kind of strange. Also for people who come to this without realising there was an earlier game, think they'll just see it as a really odd decision, which isn't explained through any of the new art.

This is looking rather hawt. I always admire the ambience/atmosphere you manage to put into your work and this one has it in spades.
Am very interested in the survival mechanics as well, and how much of that is tied into exploration gameplay.
