Is there a list of Alpha Funded games anywhere besides Desura and some idea of how they did (sales or $)? I know (or it has been mentioned, I'm now updating this list as people post): Minecraft Mount and Blade Interstellar Marines Cortex Command King Arthur's Gold Overgrowth Dwarf Fortress Project Zomboid Defender's Quest Rune Masters Tomes of Mephistopheles
Also trying to find a good way to determine if a project should still be considered as in development given service models like Minecraft's.
Seems like this would be good info to have on hand somewhere and kept up to date.

I know Minecraft has done well, obviously. Just wondered if there was a DB for other games that have used some variation on the model...

Oh, I thought you meant Desura's Alpha Funding thing specifically.

Nope - I meant what else? I know there have been a few others before Desura came out with it. They might not have called it alpha funding but it was....

Well, you can't forget Overgrowth. That's all that comes to mind right now, though.
Someone must have written an article on this. I don't know of any, though

I'll update the thread at the top... I agree it seems strange that this wouldn't be tracked somewhere.

Technically Defender's Quest is in alpha/beta funding right now. Sales have been good so far, but I can't talk about that in much detail because I'm submitting an article about it that's still under embargo. Should have numbers to release in a month or so.

Still in dev is fine, though I would want to note that.

If so, my game is in alpha funding atm. It sells terrible although it got 0 coverage on the English part of the Internet so I'm not surprised ^^ Rune Masters
