So, I love to read, and I love learning about music. I've thumbed through the Complete Idiots Guide to Music Theory, but nothing else.

What sort of books about music theory and/or production would folks here suggest I pick up?

Articles, blogs, podcasts, videos, or anything else are appreciated too, by the by, I'm just looking to step up my raw info input.

For production I'd recommend Roey Izhaki's book: http://www.amazon.com/Mixing-Audio-Concepts-Practices-Tools/dp/0240520688 It does a great job of explaining the mechanics and purpose of every tool you'll use, with examples.

Once you've mastered the basics of theory as in the Complete Idiots Guide, check out Schoenberg's book on harmony: http://www.amazon.com/Structural-Functions-Harmony-Revised-Schonberg/dp/0393004783

Oh, and score books. Lots and lots of score books.

That first one looks like just what I need, and I've bookmarked the second to keep in mind for later. Thanks for the suggestions!
