I was under the impression we are in a monthly format, and that you have until the end of April to finish La Mulana and/or Vampire: Bloodlines.

Current Titles:
La Mulana - April 14th Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines - May 1st
I think the above says otherwise, but I could be wrong. I thought La Mulana was until April 14th and VtMB was until May 1st.

i don't think a lot of people in the club still playing La Mulana, so can move on to another game already.

I'm still playing it. Near the end, but still playing, and I seem to be one of the people who is farther ahead.

Well, I'd say that a lot of people aren't playing, BECAUSE IT ISN'T THE GAME ANYMORE. I would still be playing it, if the club went on longer. As it is, the only people who got far in the game are those that already played it. I mean, people are talking about playing Fallout, but unless you've played it before or can devote your life to playing it, there is no way you are going to be able to give the game enough time in 2 weeks. Most book clubs don't go through 2 books a month, and I can get through most books a lot faster than I can get through most games.

Well, be fair, I stopped playing it because I'm done with it.
Regardless, I do think the idea was monthly, with a change every two weeks or something like that.

no, this is the first time i played this far. i believe paste too. it's hard to give this game a chance if you never played it before, and are late-comer in this club since this game is VERY unforgiving. Plus you can just turn to the wiki guide for answer if you're stuck(which is what i'm doing now ) I'm still playing it. Near the end, but still playing, and I seem to be one of the people who is farther ahead.
me too, but stuck in the 8th boss.

Could short games be candidates?
The What are you paying thread reminded me of the existence of Pacman 2 and Wonder Project J. Both are snes games, likely not available via the VC, so I dunno what would people's stance on it be.

Legend of Grimrock is another candidate for Game Club.
Also, shall we start a new vote thread, or just do the second game? It's a freebie, so it's a good replacement for La Mulana.

Considering it's servers are being closed on May 31st, I'm already recommending Demon's Souls as a third option for May's GOTM. This is in addition to whatever two voted-for titles, but just throwing it out there given the circumstances that the month will be the last one available for GameClubbing, even if it is unfortunately PS3-exclusive.

You can still play after May 31st, you just won't get all the multiplayer stuff. Which would actually make the Game Club just as interesting, since the warnings and shit people put down won't be there anymore.

Also, maybe it would be good to stick to games everyone can play i.e. computer games. Not everyone has an xbox or ps3; not everyone has the money to buy a still relatively expensive game for said consoles.

I vote a SaGa game. Unlimited Saga and Romancing SaGa are dirt-cheap if you can find them, and of course there is always the possibility of emulating the older titles. Everything I've heard about this series makes me want to try it, but it'd be more fun to do it with more people.
