SwampWitch Games

--

Reason: I come from an area that's originally mostly swampy, I like the idea of witchery, and that many people ('round here) see programming as some sort of black art, and I make games.

Simple as that.

I'd call my company 'Ponto & Vírgula'
You see, it means semicolon in portuguese - I'm brazilian -, and it's kind of a visual pun I'd come up with:

That's the first rendering for a logo or sumthing. Did it today.

it's kinda lame, but oh well.
Also, it would fit better for like, a bookstore, or something related to grammar Shrug.

YUSS - RomeoPie is god!

Our little collective is called omnicore4 - so yea, an omnicore is the eye of the alien creatures of Havoc Zone which are called omnivore.

and the 4? well we are 4 core team members, so I guess it fits ;3

when we first met up to form intuition none of us really knew each other and we wanted to get busy making games, not company names. In retrospect it would have been nice to think more about the name and find something that fired us up. But that's hindsight and not all that useful. I'd recommend, in general, trying to put off the naming and branding of your company until you're all more comfortable working together and have a better idea of the direction you want to go.

that said, we're changing our name very very soon! Not really because of what I said above, there are a good many other things that factor into the whole name change.

I think Intuition is a great name especially compared to all of the extremely crappy names that game companies would usually have when they first form.

I don't really have a company name or anything like that. I just add "A Game By Strong" somewhere at the beginning of my games, if at all. I might change it to something in the vein of "Strong Likes Games", but nothing more formal than that because my games usually don't need the formality.

SaintXi

My partner suggested Saint as a good name in the footsteps of several great 'religious' themed studio names, and we added the Chinese character Xi to make a unique name - we currently use the Ascii "Xi" rather than the original Chinese to make an easier to type name.
