Howdy, lalala yeah!

I'm in the process of making and actually finishing a decent app, but having a few necessities in pictures/cartoons, I'd like to know if you guys know any nice repository of images on these interwebs that have really free images for use, obviously giving credit.

I can't draw worth a damn (I'm a writer type) and can't yet pay for the images (though if there is a site with a cheap subscription with a decent amount of downloading to cover my needs, that would work too, something like a week subscription). In the future, I could commission art, if I can profit from my present effort.

Any ideas?

Why not ask someone here to do it since you're willing to pay a little?

I'll bet your app will fare better with a consistent style.

You can probably find someone who will do it for free as well, in exchange for credit and possibly some creative input.

Depending on you needs, you can find a surprising amount of good stuff at Wikimedia Commons if you spend a an hour or two there.
