The Tall Man needs to be in as an unlockable character/boss.

I can contact Tarn (Dwarf Fortress), and also get Shih Tzu to ask Pixel about using Cave Story.

How is that going? it would be a shame to finish Quote, and then Pixel doesnt agrees.
(dont think so, but you never know.)

And if they say no, we show them all the work we did and cry until they give in.

I haven't played Iji yet but she certainly looks like a damn fine candidate, what with being a girl, being awesome, and having lots of possible moves.

After playing through it, I can say I think she'd be a damn fine character addition.
Listing a few abilities that could maybe be transferred:
Kick (!)
Shotgun/Buster Gun
MPFB Devastator (high charge time, high recovery time, huge knockback, but devastating)
Reflector (turn projectiles back on their sources)/Resonance Detonator (knocks back nearby foes)
Hacking (could produce a random effect on opponent, like damaging for ?% or stunning them or disabling their shield temporarily)

Can take a decent amount of damage and dish it out, too, but has slow horizontal movement. Like in the game, can be played multiple ways, by focusing on either her melee or ranged aspects.

Excellent!

Paradox = Xoda's full name backwards?
Also, Noitu Love is Evolution backwards Gentleman

Sorry to even quote this from this long ago, but I thought it was a Japanese name.. Lol, so it was actually purposefully just Evolution backwards or is this purely coincidental?

Also, I dig Xoda Rap.

Considering that Xoda Rap has also a backwards gimmick I'm thinking it's intentional

But on with the main subject

Thirded, actually. Loved that guy. Terrifying. Less iconic than Trilby, p'raps, but makes more sense, character-wise.

I've been wondering, how many of these characters have author-approval? I know Iji and Turner (and Naija and Golden Knight) do, but as for the rest? Moreso because I think it's polite, and that having some official backing could be really awesome. Also on the off chance that they don't like it it would help prevent wasted work. But, that aside, we could get ideas/love from the creators, and it could help draw the community together!
