Multiplayer games are now recorded to "LastReplay.hg1". If you play a game, please rename and store that file for our enjoyment later! You can load replay files from the multiplayer console.

This kicks my ass.  In more ways than one.

(All of them good ways.)

I love that the game now has all those asteroids moving in parallax, adds so much depth  Beer!
Excuse my cheekyness, but any chance for the far background to scroll very slightly too? its just begging to scroll  Wink

Moogled: Unfortunately it's not tiled, and it didn't look good when we tried scrolling the original picture (which is 1024x1024). But I agree that it would add to the depth even more.  Cave Story

Great game. It's surprisingly simple and intuitive.

Will there be pause? I'm playing it now, and pausing it will writing would be good.

This is humbling. Shocked
I usually don't like RTS, and this game is making me reconsider. I really love it.

We are still working on the Mac version... got some threading issues with the netcode.

Meanwhile... we have been reviewed at Pig-min! http://pig-min.com/tt/1916

Alrightey! Mac version is done! Smiley

Download universal binary here: http://www.oxeyegames.com/files/ourglobe/HouseGlobe.dmg (16 MB)

Due to synchronization issues, Windows users should preferably re-download the game to make it compatible with the Mac version:
http://www.oxeyegames.com/files/ourglobe/HouseGlobe.rar (14 MB)

Some notes:
Replays are now saved in a "replays" sub-folder. This folder is located in ~/Library/Application Support/DaisyMoon on Mac. That's also where you will be able to find your screenshots (Cmd+T to take a screenie).

Kinten: When you see this, update first post!  Gentleman

Super Quality! You guys are incredible!

And the generic "Yes sir!", "Consider it done", "I'll do my best" lines were begging to be spoofed. Well done!  Smiley

Ok, a new version!

- Settings are saved to HouseGlobe.cfg, so you don’t need to re-type ip numbers or ports.
- You can now enter your name when you play multi-player games.
- You can chat (press enter to begin typing, and enter again to send).
- The restart command has been moved to Cmd+R (Ctrl+R on Windows).

Downloads:

Mac: http://www.oxeyegames.com/files/ourglobe/HouseGlobe.dmg
Windows: http://www.oxeyegames.com/files/ourglobe/HouseGlobe.rar

I've also written some strategy tips in our blog:

a replay from me playing against slayer aka stargoat!

Notice thewreck is in Sweden and Slayer is in Australia, which meant they were suffering from lag. To make life easier, they edited the file called multiplayer.lua to allow for longer ping times. To watch the replay, you must have identical settings, or else you will lose synchronization.

In other words,
- Open multiplayer.lua
- Change the attribute "turnCountLength" (if I remember correctly) to 35 (was 3).
- Start (or restart) House Globe and load the replay

This is not completely true for the file I uploaded. I made sure to only upload the one with default lag settings, (from the first game). so no change should be nessecary in THIS case... however i have lots of replays where you will need to change it =)

This was a sweet game! I played through the single player mission, and for a game made in such a short period of time it felt so well done. Not to mention the fact that you were probably one of the first ones to finish your game. That says even more about your talents for sure. Great job man!
