anyways, i think your next step is finishing a painted piece. you have enough skills in the figure drawing to do it, and its good habit to have, to finish something once in a while.

it's about 50/50 in terms of reference usage

i've finished pieces before (like my avatar) its just that i'm in a pretty dissatisfied rut atm

seems like you should maybe work on cleaning up your linework a bit. even in the sketching stage, nice confident lines will help your work come out feeling a lot more solid. other'n that just make sure you have a clear line of action and stuff. anyway, good art.
