These are the new designs tests for the cabinet, more detailed than the last ones and with the basic layout already decided:

this could be a posible variation for one of the sides of the arcade if we decide they are not symmetrical:

We are really happy with the result so far!
Once we finish with the sides we'll continue with the design of the control panel (where the button and the joystick are)

Here are same snapshots of the process:

testing arcade monitor screen resolutions (this one was obviously wrong):

playing the game on the arcade monitor with a gamepad:

plot test mainly to see if the measurements we took were right (they almost were):

and finally... the white joystick arrived:

Last weekend we were finally able to try the game properly on the arcade with the new joystick! It was really awesome!
We still need to get the right button, because the ones that came with the cabinet really suck.
We had to hack a keyboard to make the connections to the PC, while we wait for a j-pac board to arrive.

Keyboard hack in progress:

And here's a funny video of Hernan playing the game. It doesn't have subtitules, but you only need to know he's complaining because his hand hurts  Grin

There doesn't seem to be enough cabinets for deserving games these days.

Wow, this looks really fantastic.  I really dig the black and white art-style, and the ship getting so huge makes the game look epic!  So excited that you guys are building an arcade cabinet-- thanks for the videos, it's good info and inspiring for my own project.  Keep up the great work guys!

I'm glad you like the videos. I've seen that you have the base cabinet for your game. Is it big enough for 4 players? or do you need to convert it?
