Hey TIGSource Game Developers-

To Celebrate and promote indie game developers, we are holding a 7-day Game Challenge.  Developers will spend no more than 7 days working on a game prototype that they will submit to www.indiegamesday.com. 

There will be no entry fees, but your game will be made freely available on www.indiegamesday.com for download/judging.  Players will download and play your free game and vote on a winner.  The winner will receive a cash prize with the hopes that the money will go towards further developing and crafting an awesome independent game.

The theme will be announced in mid-May and contestants will have a few weeks to submit their games (HONOR SYSTEM PEOPLE - Don't spend more than 7 days on an entry).

Sounds great! I just gave up on Ludum Dare because my programming skills are really not up to the task of making a game in 48 hours, so maybe a whole week will give me enough time to really make something!

Yeah Ludum Dare can be tough if you don't have that weekend free - We're just going to ask for no more than 7 days of work on a game but we're giving you a few weeks to spread it out.
