Why? Definitely not at this stage. Once the game's completed and I see that there's a market for it I might consider something for the mobile platforms but that means working most of the things from the ground up. Not how the game plays but how you play it. You can't just take a mouse driven interface and port it over to a touch based one especially when the screens are radically smaller. You can but it'd be a poor result at best. Plus I wouldn't want to play such a large game on my phone anyway. If I want to play a game I play it on the computer and those 20 minutes to spare on the bus I play some simple puzzle game instead.

OK, so no android support right now, but how about a new video? and where did the old twitch videos dissapear? Oh, and I see you`ve got the gui and all separated in different files, The game.cpp seems to be the file that gets executed as the game starts. So im wondering- how do you now from the game.cpp call for lets say the gui.cpp ( i assume all things related to the gui are there-drawing,actions to do on clicks and so on)

Clouds are on my TODO list.

It's 720p so it should be okay. To increase it further I'd have to upgrade my licence but I don't feel like spending money on that. Your phones internet connection is probaly not able to play that stream and it chooses a lower quality one. Also, if you can't watch it on the phone, switch over to the computer ...


Anyway, I got a fair amount of stuff done. It was mostly GUI related, so if you watched the strean and all you saw was me trying to figure out a placement for each label and icon for hours then I'm sorry but that's part of gamedev (stuff you don't want see or do but still have to) Smiley

The sidebar is now mostly there though most ship labels contain dummy data.



I now need something to fill the black around the compass/map thing. It looks a bit boring. There's also a little inconsistency which I'm not totally happy with. You see, the Health and Morale have labels for titles, whereas Water, Food and Ship condition are represented as icons. Not sure how I could represent "Morale" with such a small icon Shrug

Tonight I implemented clouds in the overworld. They are mostly for decoration but also indicate wind direction in case the arrow isn't enough or is too vague. It looks pretty sweet in motion. The cloud shadows are kind of odd but it's the best I could come up with. I also thought about replacing the labels with icons you guys suggessted but decided to keep them as they are. I have some other places where I use the same label style so it's not too out of the place.



Anyway, my current plan is to release the next build on Sunday. This Sunday! I still got a couple of things to work out but I think I can make it. Ninja
