I've narrowed it down to FAMICLOUD or one of these 3:

This could make a good shmup. It practically makes itself.

This one is vaguely unsettling. Hence, excellent indie game material.

Don't much care for the character, but the boardgame numerology psychic hermetic feel is gooood.
Hypnotic Sukuuru. Hypnotic Screw?

Any translations would be appreciated if you care to post them!

Especially curious what these say:

1) Tsunokakushi
2) Yakitate - Mo-ningu Sofuto (Freshly Baked - Morning Soft)
3) Kaisha Kazoku (Business Family)
4) Amigo
5) First four characters are 'Electronic Circuit' (電子回路). The fifth one I can't find anywhere. The last two (板厨) don't match up with any compound so they probably need the fifth, especially since the last one on its own is 'Kitchen'.

I don't know Japanese but in Chinese (same shit) it's bai dian he ti, hundred-spot joining-together. So it's Hundred-Point GATTAI.

The fifth one is 基, means "base". Together with the last two it's "baseboard", so "Electronic Circuit Baseboard" or what we'd call a PCB I guess?

So the title is something like "Circuit Board One-Alpha-One".

It seems like there are more avant garde type carts this time around, like the one with the label ripped off and replaced with pencil drawings, or the one with so many price tags on the front you can only see a tiny part of the label.

The problem with the DQ looking one is that it leaves nothing to the imagination. Part of the fun of Famicase is looking at the odd covers and imagining what kind of strange games they could be.

Awesome, thanks hangedman and radix Smiley

"Kaisha Kazoku (Business Family)" looked like a prison fence/tower to me; I wonder that's what was intended, or if I'm missing some cultural reference ...

Yo get some imaginations. I saw it as a weird anime-ruined game of thrones license that plays with a blend of RPG and Risk elements like a cutesy fire emblem or sengoku rance or something.

@Zaphos

Japan is practically infamous for having businesses overwork their employees.
See: karoshi

So, there might be something to that connection you made, perhaps it was intended in order to emphasize the intended context of "workplace". The first word, "kaisha", also means "workplace", so it's possible the title could more accurately be "The family workplace" rather than something more like "the business of the family" or "the family who does business" as per Hangedman's translations. Et cetera.

Just throwing stuff out there Smiley

I just saw it as kind of a grim corporate future kind of thing.

If anybody else needs some translated, let me know which ones. It's nice to scrape the rust off my Japanese.

I liked these, but the text ones need translation. 5th bottom-left one is intriguing.
