I've just released a new installment of my episodic action-adventure series Tales of the Renegade Sector.




In Castle of the Insect King, The Captain voyages to an alien swamp in search of another of Laserbeard's treasures.  The treasure is hidden in the dungeon of an ancient castle.  The castle once belonged to the The Insect King, a fearsome conqueror from ancient times.  You must delve into the history of the castle and battle the insectoid population of the planet in order to recover the treasure.

This has turned out to be one of my favorite episodes to make so far.  The episode has more of a story focus and goes a bit into the lore.  There's also new improvements such as a dynamic camera, as well as plenty of insectoid enemies to fight.

Played through it. Thought the ambiance was neat and music worked for the most part (although loops tended to be a bit short). The boss theme seemed slightly cheery. In general I thought the character walked a little slow. But it was fun, boss was neat! Nice job. Didn't find the secret though
