Draw a picture of it. MS-Paint beckons you.
All this talk about Psycho Fox got me all nostalgic even though I never owned a SEGA Master System.

Ugh, I can barely remember a single screen from it, atleast with any sort of detail. It was first person as you moved around, and there was an inventory screen where you could change out parts, etc. I can't even remember what the combat was like, whether it was real time or not. I feel like it was real time, but don't hold me to it. I really wish I remembered the name.

I'm having the same problem, I remember vividly an indie shooter I played a while back (I believe linked from the old tigsource) but I can't remember the name and the old archives are gone. Here is my wonderful rendition of the game: Your ship orbited around the center, you just controlled left/right and thrust. Landing on the center recharged your ship I believe. IIRC, the author had 3 or 4 other games on his website that were also really fun, but I can't find any of them. If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd be very thankful!

That sounds a lot like tempest, heh. In which case, it could be a very hard game to track done. There are quite a few clones out there.

It was similar to Tempest, except that you could control the distance from center.

It's not fuckin' tempest. Are you trying to piss The Arsecast Host or what. LOL Tim just mentioned one of his games on the front page. It's The Life in Matter. http://www.iterationgames.com/http://www.iterationgames.com/main.htmlAnd I'm still waiting for someone to beat the Clean Asia score, echo echo echo... Good sketch though. I could recognize what you're drawing from a mile away.

This is so many generations later it hurts, but there was a game by konami that I guess was an rpg. Anyway you were in a mech going down into the moon investigating whatever strange things were happening; all I remember as from my childish memories is that it was actually interesting as the people you know started to change/ get infected. It wasn't anything groundbreaking, but I remember actually being scared by it, and now I can't remember it for the life of me. Oh it was for the playstation, so shoot me if it's too un-indie.
I thought I remembered something like this on the Amiga, called Bio-somethingorother with a green wireframe head on the front cover. Then I did a search on MobyGames and came up with this which is something completely different but seems to match your description... ahh well. The one I was thinking of was a little more like System Shock crossed with Hired Guns, but then again I could be completely making that up. Could be an awesome game though... [EDIT: A little more searching comes up with Captive 2 (which has BioCorp in it, so I was close enough).]

Holy shit, it was space griffon VF-9, I can't believe you actually found it. That's a really weird name too, something I feel like I would have remembered. Hmm, now to see if I can find a copy anywhere.

Hi. I'm new here... Anyway, I think the first game in your picture there is Seaquest or something. I have it for my Atari... I'll have to try and dig it up, I have no idea where it is If I find it I'll edit this post with a photo of the cart. Although, I doubt I'll be able to get it working, so no screenshots [Edit: Actually, it was called Scuba Diver. I remember playing this game for hours... Anyway, I couldn't find my cart. but I did find this screenshot: And this image of the cart: -Mike

Hi Mike.
Hmmmm.. Does it have a second screen you can get to? What's the sub and torpedo doing on the cover?
I'm very sure this game was for the Vic20. There is a Vic 20 game called Diver, but I'm not sure if that's it.
Edit: Scuba Diver is a strange game, if you manage to get into the water, then hanging out in the corner catching fish right after they spawn in the reef is the obvious 'exploit'. I wonder what's up with the turtles.
Oh, you enter the ship to get to the other screen... Hmm, I'm not sure if I recall that screen layout though.

Dunno why that image isn't loading... Anyway, Here's the page I found it: http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/2600/01/4.htmlIt may have been called a different name on the Vic20. It could have been: o Skin Diver o Sea Hunt o Scuba Diver (If it was in fact this game...) I remember a level very similar to the one you illustrated, and I thought it was in this game. I guess you could search for a rom of this game and see if it's similar. Hope this helps. Edit: As for the art on the cart, I don't remember ever seeing a sub firing torpedos in this game. I guess I don't really know why they put it on there. Edit2: Actually, I vaguely recall swimming down inside the "ship" at the bottom of the screen and it would bring up a new screen with treasure in it, which looked a lot like the image you illustrated... I'm almost certain this is the game. (Please dodn't quote me on that... )-Mike
