Just passing on something I find funny. " Airship 2600 1 - The pinnacle of independant game creation. 2 - The best game one can possibly create. The term originated in an Internet community of game designers who worked with the OHRRPGCE. A "Do-More-With-Less", time-limited game creation contest produced only two results, both of which were so poor that it prompted one of the members(named Gilbert), to vote for a 3rd imaginary game, entitled Airship 2600. The game proceeded to garner more votes than either of the other games and unofficially won the contest. I don't get it. Does this have links back to TIGSource? Why can ILC not visit the Feedback forum? Is he the physical embodiment of Airship 2600?

I suspect he means he'll be mean and compare every game in the Feedback Forum to this game, which they can't possibly compete with, it's just too good. |

I understand that Cave Story was a pretty good Metroidvania game*, but to this day I am uncertain how many people actually think it is the best game ever versus how many people just think it's funny to claim it is the best game ever.
* But not as good as the Metroidvania sections of Airship 2600 of course.

I kind of thought it would be option two. The same thing you're doing with Airship 2600  But it had to be for some real reason too, otherwise we probably would've had sexy hiker smileys. |
