lol it's something vital to gameplay that's for sure. Got spellcasting in place, it's about 75% complete, almost complete enough to be alpha ready, just spells mind you, much more is needed to be complete for alpha but hopefully we can bust it out in the next couple of days. You can bet your asses i'll be busting mine tonight to try and reach alpha by the weekend.
I would love to alpha test. What platforms will it run on? I can only do linux.

right now alpha is probably going to be windows only, possibly mac. Windows is really the only easy way to compile at the moment, but the target platforms will be windows, mac, html(maybe), ios and android.

My computer is not the fastest, so I would love this on ios.

It'll be my first mobile game, and honestly my first publication in general. Work is moving along on the game as fast as possible considering all the interruptions i keep getting. Working on item types and equipment at the moment, ironing out some kinks. Hopefully i'll have it working much smoother by the end of the night.

EDIT: lots of work has been done the past couple of days, figured i'll post some screenshots to intice you guys into preordering and getting the alpha this weekend!

here's a room full of loot and slimes:

and a fully functional equipment system:

This is wonderful. Some people are complaining of too many retro style games, but I love 'em.
Looking forward to seeing this one develop.  Beer!

Thanks for all the support guys, the game is pretty much at alpha state at this very moment, but a couple of minor things will need to be done before it can be made available. Need to finish our teaser trailer among those things.

Keep an eye out though because alpha is coming tonight if i can help it!

The guys at desura are out of the office until either tomorrow or monday, not sure what wolf said about that. So alpha will be available as soon as those guys are, but the trailer is booming along!

Thanks a bunch! The teaser trailer is finished, and the alpha build is compiled. Wolfgame is currently applying for alpha funding as we speak. It's been a rather busy week for me, away from miniFlake, spent with family, and some small amount of time at the hospital taking care of my girlfriend. But now that the 4th is over work can pick back up again Smiley

Looks nifty, can't wait to give it a try. I'm more of a fan of the original Denzi tiles used, but I'm sure playing the game here will give a better look-see into the current graphics.

yea denzi's stuff is pretty inspiring. The original itteration of this game literally used almost nothing but denzi art Tongue

Hey guys, here is a list of some of the things I'll be working on this week:

container objects; things like barrels, crates, and bookshelves.
Light casters; so things like fireballs and torches can bring light into the dark.
MiniMap; working and toggleable.
Sign objects; things like paintings, and signs can be pressed into will display a small message.

I'll likely end up adding more to this list shortly, but that's just a taste of what i'll be doing.

EDIT: miniMap!!!

Hey guys, found a bunch of bugs during certification that have all been fixed now. Should hopefully not be too much longer before the demo and alpha go live on desura!
