Need to comment again, looking amazing. Minor crit, the speaking font doesn't seem to fit.

Yeah that is something I am aware. As that is a restriction in RPG Maker I am only limited to Windows standard fonts  Concerned I would like to use my own typography, but that is just impossible. I still have to go through the fonts to see if there is something that fits better.

Edit, changed the color to interface yellow. Now I think it fits better..

Idk if this is just me but I think the lack of spacing between the individual stats in the HUD makes it a bit hard to read.

Like instead of

YEARS PASSED 00024 AGE 58 GENE HEALTH |||||

I would do something like

YEARS PASSED 00024    AGE 58    GENE HEALTH |||||

I have to look into this, there is still something I have to fit into the interface Smiley

I had this challenge of a... vagina, to make it not look pornographic.

This is the screen for artificial insemination process inside the game. Fully functional as we speak, but I probably revisit the graphics later. The functionality is not completely scientific, but I took some freedom as this is a game after all.

, though a bit too creepy in my opinion. Maybe different medical/surgical procedures have similar visual models so this doesn't stand out.

I have now completely finished artificial insemination procedure, either for making babies for other women only or then your own baby with your partner. I never really thought this much before, but it really is a happy accomplishment when you hear that the woman is pregnant. Then it is yet to see if its boy or girl, and how healthy one.

Pheew. I just finished generation change mechanism. That was the far most complicated thing this far with this game. The generation change works so that your character can make a 1-2 children. Those children then continue the profession either of their mother or father. When your character dies, you can select which of the children you want to play from now on.

I am currently scripting the education system.

This will have a quite interesting mechanic of how your teachings affect the game world in the long run. From the various professions in the game, teacher is most simplest to play, but in the other hand most difficult of in getting hang of it. Not to talk about the fact that teachers have possible the most dramatic impact on the game world.

Interesting. How much power will you give a teacher? Will they be able to control minds in the sense that they can educate a (for instance) fanatic that could go on raving blabber or even become violent against opposition, or someone that can accept being submitted to abuse while being stoic about it? Sounds interesting.

There is no mind control in normal sense, only long term effects on peoples world view. I think "mind control" more as high concept science fiction, which this game is not about. It is however possible create a situation where teachings go so much into particular direction that it eventually leads into type of revolution. Then in the other end of the spectrum everything works very smoothly for long times to come.

Silly me, I was not mentioning controlling minds as a fact, but in changing/manipulating/enforce views for the rest of the lives of the person/people you teach. Should have used ''.

Yes, this is exactly the idea behind the educational system in this game. Of course because the scope of the game, this actually never goes as deep as single person level. Things are presented community scale mostly. Sure in reality single persons can have a major impact in a community, but simulating such occurrences would require much more bigger and complicated mechanic. Maybe we could see the player as "single person" then.

I decided to make the teacher profession little bit different from others. You cannot gain it anymore by having a children with partner who is teacher, but you can get it by gathering enough knowledge of the surrounding world. It makes lot more sense.

But it is really beneficial to be a teacher. In some point of the game you might see that things are not going well in the community because of whatever reasons. But if you can take the children of your community and teach them right, you can fix the direction of progress and hopefully save the future.
