post some screenshots of that PC goodness guys!

also I cant help but feel that SM is a bit misguided as is, especially if you start struggling in areas you'll be permanently behind forever in mp on that character.

this is what it looks like for me (max settings except for medium anisotropy in the 1st two, no tweaks)

performance-wise it runs very well on my computer (2013 macbook pro, so hardly a "gaming rig"), just some very minor slowdowns that became practically unnoticeable after playing for some time. loading times from SSD are also obviously much better and amount to about 3-4 seconds.

Looks great but seventy two dollars is a pretty penny. I'm pumped for the game but not enough to get it at that price.

Yeah that's understandable.

Here's a torch screenshot before I go to bed because I figured that would be of interest to you guys. <3 Shows off some combat action and the (imo very nice looking) motion blur as well.

btw I'm running the game in 1920x1080

Aargh, I hope that Finnish postage will work and deliver my game in next couple of hours, can't wait till Monday  Waaagh!

EDIT: Looks like it'll be weekend without Dark Souls then, just when I had had some time for it  Sad I'm half tempted to go and try find it from local store and just return the order I made earlier  Tongue

EDIT2: And literally half minute later it arrived. Oh yissssssss

meh, no proper 16:10 monitor support. i  can't play on my macbook's internal screen without either black bars or stretching. not really a big deal tho, i can just hook up the macbook to my external monitor.

basically unplayable, this is a controller-centric game.

Played couple of hours. Have to say that so far it has been fun though it feels like something is missing compared to first one.

Is there a stat which affects to changing your weapons? I have multiple times accidentally used catalyst instead of dagger and vice-versa because game didn't register (or it is meant so) the weapon change.

Also, wizards have been really lazy when it comes to their strenght -__- Looks like very first levels will be for increasing that.

it's missing some of the 1st two games' atmosphere. i actually felt the same way about dark souls 1 (compared to demon's) when i first played it, but i really warmed up to it and actually prefer it now. i warmed up to dark souls 2 as well, but not as much. i think it's neat that all 3 games "feel" substantially different tho, despite very similar mechanics.

re: weapon changing: the action queue in this game is shorter/wonkier than in dks1, so there's a chance the game won't "remember" your weapon change if you do it right after another action.

Does the game have any "useless" stat? Like is it worth to raise ADP to get better agility?

ADP is useful to a point, as far as agility is concerned. At around 95-100 agility you can forget about it; it's not going to do much for you. As far as PvE is concerned, agility greatly raises the speed you use estus/lifegems. On the PvP side I've found that the extra i-frames at the start/end of a roll are actually a big deal. If you plan on using a greatshield and never rolling, however, then agility shouldn't matter.
