Huh, how's that possible? It smells like a code problem if things like explosions can (even accidentally) manipulate your isometric rendering.

Yep, I just wanted to shake the screen and put the code in the wrong place causing a incrementing offset for each column rather than just a screenwide shake. D'oh!

This explosion really didn't work as I expected... This gif mindfucking me right now, best exlosion evar You are changing each tiles position I guess? If so why not use transformation matrices as a camera?

I played around with GameMakers 3d Camera projection and somehow it managed to draw all my walls as transparent. But not against the background colour.. I think I'll keep it

It's sad I know but I am really chuffed that I have actually achieved something worthy of this thread. Anyhow, what I was trying to do was create distinct areas for my world map and then display them on a simplified version of said map. I think (although it's difficult to figure out) that it worked however displaying them might have not gone to plan...

Bitmap font offsets and interlacing fail. I kinda like it though. The font is inspired by the old IBM PS2 / VGA BIOS, so scan lines would actually be quite fitting... hmm. This is wonderful. I don't think you could go wrong putting that to use for something.
