Got it.



What graphical issues did you notice?  I'm not that great when it comes to drawing things, but I can do as much as I can to take care of it.

Well the problem is that it just looks very plain. Is that Times New Roman or Georgia? At this point the human eye can't stand seeing the same typefaces over and over again, it just gets terribly dull. Play around with different typefaces, or even design your own, you only need 7 letters, it shouldn't be a problem.



Just fool around with it a bit, logo design in a very iterative process, if you put enough time into it, something neat will come out of it I'm sure.

Then there's the issue with colors, what happens if your logo in a white background, is the green box around it part of the logo or do you remove it? If that's the case then you can't even see the cloud.

I was sort of going for a typical typeface used in writing. I do want to have a custom, seriffed font ultimately - this is still a WIP - but I still need to learn how to design fonts before tackling that.  Again, I'm not terribly drawing-inclined (the cloud is 8 circles set to a circular path, grouped, and then squished), but I'm working on it!

Also, that colored background is not part of the logo.  I'd imagine it'd look like this if it was placed on something with a white or off-white background.



I will play around with different typefaces and see if I can get one that works, though!

The cloud doesn't look like a cloud to me, more of a badge. Give it some dimension, some direction, irregularity, or something.

And let "WordCloud" breathe. It's too close to the left and right side of the cloud container.

Made a couple versions based on your input and kYn's.  Hopefully I'm starting to head down the right path here.




EDIT: Newer version messing around with cutting the words into the cloud (changed the font, too)



Looks better without the letterpress effect though, IMO.
