regarding: http://tigsource.com/articles/2008/08/23/tigjam

i couldn't find a topic or thread on the forums here, so i hope this can create some discussion on it. sry if there already is a topic up, plx fwd a link if that is the case.

who's going?

why are you?

my answers: i bought my ticket a few ago. i'm local, so it will be easier for me to attend than others so, i don't have much of an excuse to avoid it. i'm going, to support the concept, it seems cool and it would make for a fun weekend. brass monkeys and making art with a bunch of indies.. ya, i would every weekend if my organs would allow it.

where can we expect to look for more info regarding TIGJam when it becomes available?

there was talk in the news post comments like, “How about we organize one in England, one in Canada, one in Australia, and one in Sweden all for the same 3 days?”

Matthew:
“A simultaneous jam is a great idea–do it! Grab the reigns for your region. Work out the logistics and email Derek to post about it.”

Derek:
“YES. THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. MAKE IT HAPPEN.”

i think it would be rad to see happen.

has anyone tried organizing something outside of arizona?

thanks

Also, could one of the admins create a TIGJam forum? That would be very cool.

I don't have the power...  Cool

I'd definitely like to make it down to this one, my only concern is where to sleep.

Hotels would run me around $200 or so, and I'm < 25 so rental car is not really an option. I'd be flying down from Colorado as well, so I'd need some kind of pick up from the airport if that is feasible. I am all good passing out on the floor/couch of somewhere with my sleeping bag, just need to find out what kinda venue we're going to be at.

Also, if Goldbuick sleeps in his car he gets an award. Beer!

So are there any other Tigers in Australia? I guess there's not likely to be enough for it to be worth all the organizing, but I thought I'd throw it out there. If not I'll have to find a way to barricade the parents zombies out of my computer room for three days. (This room has seven doors btw.)

There are quite a few Australian TIGers, yeah. Unfortunately though we don't really have a scene AFAIK. I think we'd do better to start small with stuff like mini-jams at GameConnect.

I mean, three people, that's a group! We can do our own TIGJam!  Grin
Anyway, good to find some 'local' indies finally! Beer!

Another Australian TIGer, reporting. New South Wales, though.

Heh, TIGJam looks to be Boss. You must post... information, so I may attend vicariously. Shame there's no feasible way to show up. Though there are always... UNfeasible ways.  Huh?
