I'm in the same position as Increpare Cry Let's get this sorted out ASAP!

edit: We're talking like, what, 10 people max? Can't we just crash someone's flat for the weekend? You're all welcome to come to my place if you want and we can have a TIGJam:Dublin instead :D
That would be ace also Smiley

That would be pretty awesome, Terry. Hosting it in Dublin might stop a lot of people from being able to attend, though.

I guess "a lot" out of ~10 people is a relative term, but you get what I mean.

I could fly from Newcastle to Dublin and back for ~£50 on RyanAir. Anyone know of a cheaper option?

Well, we're still looking for places in London. Obviously, it's your flat and your choice :D

But costwise it might end up being quite comparable to renting out somewhere in London.

I might be interested in going to something like this. Smiley End of september isn't ideal as I have a deadline on the 1st October, but I could make allowances if need be.

Guys, I'll check tomorrow about the office (the boss isn't in today)

How many, at a guess, do you think will make it - around 10 ?

Also, i know its a against the rules to plug your game - but I've posted on 'feedback' forums - would love to hear what you guys think !

Cheers

No, you can still tell people about your games, especially if you're an active member of the community and we trust that you're not just spamming.

The rules are in place more as guidelines, AFAIK.

Dock, you should come Smiley

As for the number of people, it looks like it's going to be around 10 - maybe a few more.

Hello mate,

Sorry I’ve been so quiet - this week has been utter chaos! Pretty much drowning at the office!

Also, the boss hasn’t been in this week, so I haven’t had the chance to ask him about using the office. It's 340 sq ft, has six desks and a limited number of chairs –i don’t know if it it’s ideal, its up to you guys...

As for the Uni’s , I called Kings – they said they’d get back to me if it were a possibility , no reply yet  Sad

Any other ideas? I don’t mind putting in a few calls on Thursday before going to Austin...

Again, sorry for being so rubbish. I honestly didn’t expect such a massive response for the game launch...

(plug : http://www.plainsightgame.com – if you haven’t already checked Wink )

Whoa. It looks awesome, gonzo Smiley

I dunno, really. Do you know of any other indie studios in London? Google continues to fail me.

After this week, we're just going to have a fortnight until the event, so if we don't have anything sorted out we'll probably have to think about using one of the flats that have been generously offered.

It's cheaper to go by train-tunnel or boat, don't buy a ticket to go from I assume either Belgium or the Netherlands by plane. It's way expensive man.  Roll Eyes

Guys? Sorry, but I think it's gotten a little too late for me to book flights for this thing. Think I'll have to give it a miss Sad

Some other time, hopefully Sad

Okay, I'm guessing the thing with gonzo's office isn't happening. Would the people that offered their flats still be able to host it?

I dunno, it may well be too late for everybody now.
