Sounds perfect! I only read about it just now but I'll do my best in the next week to get something up.

I didn't think I'd put the time into it but got something going rather quickly.

I'll agree, the 30 second time limit was tricky to fit in

Ok, I just finished this in about 2 hours. It started off being way longer and then I just cut it down to about 30 seconds and looped it.

Finally decided to post this take.  Originally had a more thematic idea in mind but this stuck with me more (probably because I've been reading House of Leaves).

Here's mine and Calum's entry! We decided to do it like Liam and upload both the 30 sec. version and a longer version.

Thanks, Liam!  Smiley

Well, it's the first time either of us has done a collaboration so we weren't quite sure how to tackle it exactly. Basically here's how it went down:

-I sent Calum a list of references (we have the exact same taste in music) and a basic idea of what would be cool to pull off. We did a little bit of discussion.
-I came up with the lo-fi drum groove in 7 and sent that to Calum.
-He came up with the awesome chords and structure of the song. Made the piano, strings and trumpets.
-I then added more drums, some synths and came up with the melody.
-Calum changed the instrumentation of the melody and also added some synths.
-I made the mix.

It all happened pretty quickly, actually. Calum's a great composer and it was super fun working together.

But nevermind that, back on topic.

I really enjoy the other entries, I'm glad there are so many talented & skilled composers here.

Here's mine:  http://soundcloud.com/shrackattack/tig

I had to write this thing in the last roughly 5~ hours Tongue, ended up not having the free time I thought I would have for this.  Good luck guys.

(and I apologize in advance for the little lower-strings MGS homage Tongue, it just sort of ended up in there and I didn't realize it until it was too late to remove it.)

Thanks.

Wow, there are some really great entries here. I think mine took around 4 hours if you don't count all the previous versions I didn't like and threw away.

I also have two versions, but unlike other people, my versions are hifi(vaguely) vs (really) lo-fi

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19391959/rpg15lofi.wav (crazy small wav file, I promise) (11k at 8bit)

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19391959/rpg15hifi.mp3 (320kbps 44k (though I still cut out some of the high frequencies)

And I'm assuming "Entires must be posted by Sunday Midnight EST on July 15." meant 11pm CST Saturday/12am EST Sunday.  Just asking so I don't accidentally miss a day;  Wouldn't mind having some time to actually mix mine a bit and change a few patches if there is an extra day I'm not counting Tongue

Thanks and sorry for the stupid question, but I figured I would check just in case.
