I've had this dream alot where I'm falling through huge amounts of code. At times I follow different references around and can jump in and out of functions.
Interesting enough there is no objects just code and I never get caught in a loop or anything because as far as I can see the code is never executed. I'm not in the program, I'm in the code like it's a landscape.
Am I the only one?

No, but I had a dream yesterday that I saw the shots of the "Pride Point" from my game used directly in another game (same coloring, movement, everything) and I was like "the thieves!"

Once, after a 20 hour coding stint (which I hope never to repeat), I dreamed in HLSL... as if my neurons were replaced with swizzled functions. Every abstract thought I had, every process in my brain was being represented by CODE. It was fucking strange and I never ever want to be in that place again.

In university, a female classmate of mine complained that she had a nightmare where she was chased by a 2-4 tree.
(Note to other Canadians: 2-4 trees are data structures, sadly not trees that drop actual two-fours).

We could tell you, but then you'd have to immigrate.

I dreamt I made the best game in the world, that ever was and ever will be. Only I wasn't actually making it, I was just playtesting it. It was on display in a museum. Then the super-high-res/poly/def graphics suddenly jarred and became more like ps1. Then it crashed.

I don't know what the exact definition of nerd is, but I'm pretty sure that dreaming in code is part of it. And you guys must have really boring dreams. I always dream about fighting ninjas on top of high speed subway cars or something awesome like that.

HandCraftedRadio: Yeah, fighting like in the matrix, doing cool moves... fighting over cars... Waitaminit... wasn't the matrix a story about someone being in actual code? 2-4... Hmmm... I have no idea what this means... Must be a special english-canadian only dialect I haven't heard yet... Back to the topic... Nope never dream I was in code. I once had a nightmare where I was forced to code something huge but nothing more than that... This, for some reasn, makes me think of the coding robot in "Ghost in the shell". You know, the multiple fingers coding extremely fast? Anyway... Later!

I didn't even think about the Matrix. Matrix is more like falling through data than falling through code anyhow. Handcratedradio? Sounds more like HAM-radio!

Two-four: linkWikipedia had a page on it but it looks like it's been created and deleted two or three times for being a 'slang definition'. Wankers.
