HOTLINE MIAMI

Me and my friend Dennis Wedin have been working on an ultra violent overhead shooter with a bit of stealth elements the last six months. Finally got around to announcing it. It looks like we'll have a killer soundtrack too, but I can't talk more about that right now.

Trailer here:

Not sure when it will be out, one or two months probably!
We also set up a garish website so that we're ready for future collaborations:

Thanks guys!

Let me know if you have any good ideas of how to kill unconscious people lying on the ground. It's a big part of the game Cool

I'm intrigued.

Two scenes come to mind, Breaking Bad's ATM falling on a guy's head and American History X's curb stomp, which I guess are similar in their violence.  Evil

1. Shove fist down throat to pull out handfull of innards.
2. Shove gun down throat and fire for bloody fireworks.
3. Kick head off which bounces around room like a fountainous football.
4. Kick in groin so hard that his eyeballs pop out and brain explodes.
5. Pull off arm and stuff the meaty stump down throat.
6. Footstomp in guts, dude vomits everywhere.

Cool

American History X's curb stomp
Don't tell anyone but I actually closed my eyes during that scene Cool
Makes me wish there were curbs in my game...

Haven't seen Breaking Bad yet-

Looks awesome, can't wait! Shocked

I guess kicking peoples head is already in so... what about grabbing the head and smashing it against the floor until there's only a pile of blood?  Cool

-dropping the content of a bag of cocaine directly in their mouth and forcing them to swallow

-handcuffing them to a bed and whipping out the chainsaw

-casual kicks to the ribs

-dropping a tv set on the head

-(in the bathroom) drowning in the toilet

I've already said that I am a fan of the setting (I wanted to do a 90s miami game myself one day), I want to say that you have a big responsibility in not ruining the game with inappropriate music. I would be fucking pissed.

we'll probably release a free version of Life/Death/Island soon, and I'll make sure the new Mondo game is released at some point after the summer.

We're actually using chiptunes in the game, the music in the trailer is something different entirely...  My Word!

Yeah I'm just kidding. We actually have a great soundtrack to the game by various artists and I'm really excited about it. When it's 100% set in stone I'll talk more about that.

The game did surprisingly well at Rezzed:

This week it's available to play at QuakeCon. Hoping to have the finished version ready for release this month  Toast LeftGomezToast Right

hopefully you aren't one of those guys who is too sensitive for success and you end up having a psychotic break and living locked up in some remote mansion filling up jars with your own piss and babbling incoherently to yourself for twenty bleak years. But if you do, I expect to see cactus's piss jars:the game.

Seriously though, this looks great and it's fucking awesome that it looks to be getting recognition. you go girl!

I have no idea where the above picture comes from.
It might be someone from Devolver.
It's not me or Dennis, that much I know.
Anyway...
Just here to say that the game will be done soon.
