We did a live action teaser. It's set up as if the game was a slasher from the 80s and we did a custom playable character for it, pandering to the people who get the impression that you are a psycho killer in the game (which you obviously aren't if you've seen the other videos). Somehow this derailed into a anti-muslim debate in the youtube comments on the vid GameSpot put up. Kind of hilarious  We're doing another live action piece for the launch which will be more in tune with the actual game. Wonder what the comments will be like for that, haha. |

o and just so everyone knows, you have to pre-purchase from getgamesgo.com if you want the extra "dlc" level. same price as the steam pre-order and you still get a steam code, so not really a big deal. still, pretty stupid if you ask me. but whatever. |

I was referring to the purchase of the game helping get beer money, not the act of pre-ordering rather than buying post-release.
I can see how that was ambiguously worded though.

Wish I had money so I could celebrate the launch next week with lots of beer... I guess I'm too indie for that   You do know that now that you have a bigshot publisher you're now a AAA gam dev so can demand weekly kegs of fine danish beer and norwegian hookers. Pretty sure that's how the game industry works... Does Hotline currently have local deathmatch? If not maybe something for a later expansion or something... I imagine that could be pretty sweet indeed.  |

I discovered the game just a couple of weeks ago, I'm sure it will become well known after the release.
Amazing style, it's not my genre but seems funny enough, I will buy it sooner o after(I have a big backlog)!

This is the best kind of anticipation. Since a few days ago I didn't care about the game, thinking that there wouldn't be any proper gameplay to see and not knowing what it is about, anyway. Then I looked up a few preview videos, found the game is exactly up my alley, got excited, preordered - and, look, it's only a few days until release!
In other words: It's looking really cool, well done so far!
And, better yet, it reminds me a lot of two of my favorite indie games, Ikiki's Hakaiman and Nate Bradley's Sanctuary!
It looks like the kind of game that would really benefit from having a level editor, got any plans about that? :D
