pretty cool game you got there. interesting gameplay but can be pretty frustrating at times. i like the graphics

Agree. Really interesting, but it needs polish. More SFX, better design in the levels, enemies more controlled, etc. Well this is a first impression, I only played 2-3 levels and then got frustrated.
Also, this game would be more interesting with some narrative and more interaction, so consider having a nice story and some npcs. Hand Thumbs Up Right

Is this made with gamemaker?
