Tried both of those games but did not played much. There is few tunes in Guardic that is same as in TGL.

Yeah, I recommend pastes' videos, they're always a treat. (Wasn't I the one that recommended you play TGL, Eric? ) In terms of TGL, it's definitely in my top 2 for NES if not my #1. It's always a toss up between TGL and Crystalis.

It's always a toss up between TGL and Crystalis. That could be good thing to replace Zelda top-down with Crystalis top-down in some Guardian Legend sequel. The downside that it's much more work for an artist.

Optomon guy released a modified Guardian Legend NES rom version 3.0 If you want to play harder version with different passages and puzzles then you should try that one! http://theguardianlegend.com/forum/index.php/board,15.0.htmlAlso I recommend to use TGL MaPs plugin for FCEUX. It will reveal the map while you progress and show the passages between rooms. It will save your progress at blue landers rooms using password system. But you will save/load passwords with few clicks. No need to write down passwords anymore, plugin do this for you. Very handy. http://theguardianlegend.com/forum/index.php/topic,1815.0.htmlCheck this video - might make you intrested:

Funny that I found this here, as I'm working on a game based on TGL (it's pretty much a sequel) http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=26897TGL is definitely my favorite NES game, despite all flaws. Never got to play it on a real NES though (the game is 1 year older than me!) so I don't know how frustrating the password system is

If anyone reading this... There is fan made sequel released! The Guardian Legend: Shadow of NajuAnd it's quite decent. So check it out. It was made by 1 person. Started in 2010, finished this summer. Today it was updated to version 2.00
