Great game. And I'm not saying that just for the Lovecraftian stuff... well, mostly because of Lovecraftian stuff. It surprised me how it actually got me nervous. Also loved the level names, like "Cult of the Impostor", or "Fake God at the Sea".
I only lost twice, getting stuck.

I can't make it past level seven. I mean, I'm sure the game can, or another player could, but I can't. I just can't. It's dark, I'm alone in the house, the only source of light aside from my monitor is a desk lamp right next to it, everything is silent except for the hum of the CPU and the short 8-bit loop coming from a flickering black-and-white game that I just downloaded and the temperature in my bedroom appears to have dropped 20 degrees. I like the game, but I just can't go on playing this. I'm going to go watch TV or something or else or I'll never be able to sleep again. Maybe I can play it again tomorrow at noon with the radio on in the background
I can't beat your game, because your game has beaten me.
Seriously though, awesome game.

Great game! One of my favourites so far. I just played v1.1 up to Level 10 and intend to keep playing.
I was afraid to try your game after seeing the screenshots (the game title doesn't help either), but I'm REALLY glad I did. The contrast between the dull look of the game, and the blazing surprise scenes is amazing - I've never seen anything like it. I wanted to keep playing to see more scenes.
I was also surprised I never got stuck, which I attribute to some well done level design. i.e. I could always roll-up enough small things to get to the next big thing.
Z... Z... ZOOOM!
>Spoiler< I liked the fact I couldn't rollup the Level 9 small evil cat until I was huge.

it's a good thing I'm not the only one who thinks this is scary with those threatening notes!

Aha, I didn't think people who be scared, I'm surprised to read this reaction on many comments. It's funny as I was just trying to do a half-assed Lovecraft reference.

Just played this properly, and it really does take a sinister turn at level 7! Shambler's comment makes perfect sense now. You get used to the intrusions, but the first couple of times they're quite unnerving. I like it!

because of the scaryness, I doubt I'll ever play it again, but still, you should make a more joyful edition. maybe put some retro music in and take out the Lovercraft references.

i think a "happy" version of this would be far more disturbing.
happy little chiptunes playing in the background while you devour children.
yeah.

have you played tasty planet, police? it has happy tunes and you devour the whole UNIVERSE! including the fabric of space and time itself. and in Katamari games, well you don't EAT them, but you do get to see them all as they turn into a big happy star! IT HAS GREAT, HAPPY MUSIC! (except "Wanda Wanda" and the tune that plays in MAS7, the hardest stage.) And add color. and someone make a video of this less scarier version.
titi titi ta ta ta titix2 (sounds like:) old McDonald I don't want I don't need!" (translation:__________I can't sing. I CAN'T SING!)

Was it that ending part seperated from the rest that puzzled you? If it was, I was just singing a Katamari song. Now I will sing Katamari Mambo.
In The Kat-A-Mari Mam-bo Let's get the prince, all drunk.
