Earlier today I released The Trouble With Robots:
http://www.digitalchestnut.com/trouble/It's a customisable card game for PC, with real-time gameplay, hordes of peasants, dragons, elves, robots, fireballs...
The game was inspired by Magic: The Gathering, because I love the deck building and strategy of that game, though I often find it just a bit more complex than I'd like. Another major inspiration was Plants vs Zombies, which hides remarkably CCG-like mechanics under a layer of cool zombieness. And finally Castle Crashers, which definitely informed the side-scrolling viewpoint.
So after nearly two years of development the game is finished, along with a demo, trailer video, web site and store. It's amazing how much time those non-development tasks take, in fact I've written a 'DevLog' about the marketing side:
http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=27113.0(note that the DevLog isn't marked as 'done', even though I've release the game - there's still plenty to do post-release)
So that's about it. Check out the game. Please do ask questions either here or on my DevLog ... and yes, I know I should make a version for your iPad!
