Awesome implementation, everything is so satisfying! My only wish is there were more easy maps, as I find it really difficult Also, could be cool to maybe have sideways thrusters, so you would really slide. Just a thought. Thank you very much! :D There is an easier map up on the Web Alpha now along with the original one and 2 others. Actually, we're looking at alternative rockets right now, and some of them have thrusters on the sides and/or underneath! Check this sheet out! See anything you'd wanna try playing with?

In exactly 24 hours from now, we will pick the top 10 of every scoreboard to get standalone alpha access! (The standalone is pretty much only the level editor at the moment) We have also changed the condition to be eligible for standalone access: Be in the top 10 of users who don't already have the standalone in any level scoreboard!Users marked green in the scoreboards already have the standalone, the users marked blue (in 24 hours) will get standalone Here, have a countdown timer: http://bit.ly/QfML9c

Saw this on Facepunch a few days ago. Looks quite fun.
It reminds me of a really old game I used to have called crazy gravity or something where you had to deliver cargo without hitting walls.

I'm very interested in seeing where this goes! Will see if I can get this running on my non-toaster, and will anchor myself in the IRC.

Standalone alpha 3 is now sent out to the top 10 players of each scoreboard!
With this, we also want to announce that two community made levels will be included in the next Web Alpha! Happy level designing, everyone who got Standalone Alpha 3! :D

yeah.
edit:
Fine now. Tried new browser. Fluke.
Delayed controls. I imagine non browser-based version more responsive. That's important.
The game is very unforgiving. I think I'd actually like it on a console. Played for a while. Should have more even introduction. It takes a lot of practice to get the momentum right, to learn the delay, to know what angle destroys the ship.

I made 3 levels so far that don't look absolutely goofy. I'm really loving the amount of challenge this game gives me! It also even sounds very gratifying for my success!

The Flowstorm Level Center is now live! It's *very* basic right now, the most advanced feature thus far is probably the auto-generated level preview! This will of course be expanded a lot later on Click to go to the Flowstorm Level CenterHere's how the level pages look at the moment:

I'm curious. How "far" into the game does the average player get. Like do they complete several levels? Do they get decent times? I wonder how other people find the challenge. And how big is your data-set?

Players have uploaded 13 custom levels so far, so if you've got standalone access, you've got plenty of new maps to play Also, what would you like to see in alpha 4? I'm curious. How "far" into the game does the average player get. Like do they complete several levels? Do they get decent times? I wonder how other people find the challenge. And how big is your data-set?
There's quite a lot of stats! We'll publish a large chunk of stats later on with numbers and heatmaps on that You can take a look at the deaths/respawns heatmaps to get a hint on how far people get!

If you're near Stockholm, Sweden, you can meet Sranine and me this saturday (3 Nov) at Gamex 2012, in the FutureGames booth, where you can ask us almost anything, and of course try the game! Also, here are some statistics from the race scores of Alpha 3 so far:
