I never vote for myself unless the rules say I have to (some writing contests mandate authors vote for themselves but usually you get more than one vote). I figured, if someone else likes it, it makes it easier to identify how many major features/upgrades to add to the game.  |

When you vote for yourself, it's a waste of a good vote. If you're good, you'll get plenty of votes anyway. If you suck, your own vote won't matter. |

Considering that there were previous compos with entries without votes, I'd assume that yes, there were compos where people didn't vote for themselves. In the compos I participated I never vote for myself, either. I find it stupid.

GO GO GO! Also, my pics (I'll still revise it once more tonight, but it should be mostly this) : House Globe- Ridiculously polished for the tiny ammount of time it was made in. Before the people involved went to make another one.  It's also hella fun. Little Girl in Underland- Funny in that silly way that wins me over. Macarena of the Missing (written wrong in the list Derek, fix pls?) - Tranny Faggot. That is all. Plebian Evil- Just makes me feel so nostalgic. Loses a few points for not having chiptune versions of RE4 music. Soundless Mountain 2 (favorite) - Love. This is what I feel exuding from every pore of this game's being. S.T.A.C.K.E.R.- One of the entries that did an original take on the original concept, and managed to probably be a more enjoyable game.  The Black and White Plane- It's Ikaruga, damnit. Thieving Raccoon (too adorable ) - The cuteness, good lord the cuteness. And LCD. |

Finnaly got around to playing. Had fun with many of them (Aquaria, Corner's Shiny, Fake Pigs II, Fillauth, Heroes in Guitarland, Soundless Mountain II, Thieving Raccoon) but three of them stood out for me and as with the VGNG I am including them on the Joker magazine DVD.
Here they are with slovenian descriptions for your amusement:
