So today my college's Game Developers Club is hosting a rapid game development day. I've got twelve hours to make a game, and I'm starting in half an hour. It's going to be great!  Evil

Neon Mural was the result.

well .. it would probably save a lot of time to focus on just developing first and then maybe post about it afterwards.

Gentleman Fifth, your timing was most impecable. Indeed, I would say it was astoundingly so. So much so that I happened to spill my tea to chuckle at your shenanigans in the most ungentlemanly manner, but it was worth it, for sure. My hat goes off to you my good man. Gentleman

 WTF

So, apparently I only had six hours to make a game, instead of twelve. I think I'm the only one who actually made something playable.

The objective is to keep the golden orbs from falling off the screen or hitting too many enemies. To do this, you can draw solid walls with the LMB, and deadly, nonsolid walls with the RMB. That's pretty much it.  Smiley

It's not my best work, but I had fun. Oh, and sorry for all the excessive particle effects. There wasn't time to make real art...  Roll Eyes

Wow, that's great for the amount of time you had!

I think you should go back and add some music.  If you're not good at music yourself, then just ask someone around here, because I think if there was music playing I'd have kept playing that for longer, as I was really enjoying the actual gameplay.

Oh, and I think the sound effects are quite good.

That's the result of spending five minutes hitting the randomize button on sfxr.  :D
