And I also missed Venusaur. I expected it to be spelled "Venasaur", or "Venesaur", or even "Venisaur".

Why? It's just "Venus" and "aur."

I got 88.  I felt like an idiot when I saw some of the ones that I had missed.

I only got six of them.  Beer!

I can remember what most of them look like, but can't really remember the names.

83. Not bad for some one who hasn't played Pokemon for a good four years or so and on my crappy keyboard too. Kicked myself for forgetting the fossil pokemon though. Aerodactyl was one of the best mindfucks of Pokemon because of it's types setup.

Artic-Uno
Zap-Dos
Mol-Tres
It's really lame, but the first three Spanish numbers are at the end of their names. That's how I remember it.

Only 55. I think I would've identified most if I was given the pictures or something. Just remembering all the names out of the blue is way too tough

61. eh. Never really played the games too much so I had to remember them all from the show.

I always thought it had "Vin-" in it, like as in Vine. Venus. What sense does that make? It is not a planet. It is a plant.

Dang, I got 88, but there were 3 I should've gotten as well (Kangaskhan and Gyarados spelling were killing me, and I was close for Jolteon, I kept writing Volteon)

Pretty cool to see what arbitrary information the brain retains.

On my first play through of pokemon red in fourth grade or so, I caught 'em all. It was pretty epic.
It was my main mission in life for months, it was made simpler by the fact that like 20 friends were doing the same thing at the time, so I had plenty of people to trade with.

I've since attempted to play through red again, as well as attempting yellow and gold (while my original gameboy still worked), but I never had the passion or patience to collect all those little critters again. Now, whenever I've defeated all the gym masters and the main plot, I'm ready to move on.
