I am working on a game with a composer, I am the pixel artist and team leader. It is based on a jungle island called Iji. You can play as either a male or female and raise a family of your own as you try to complete your research on the island.

Who we need:
-Programmer (experienced, I would like this to be for PC, but other platforms would be a good addition)

Features:
Time/Calendar system. (Days and nights, the player having to sleep, etc.)
Holidays. (Day of the masks, Egg hunt day, etc.)
Friendship system.
Dating and marriage. (Gay marriage included)
Ability to rear a child of your own from infant to adult, teach them things, see them fall in love, and choose a career. (The sex of your child is randomized. Also your child can turn out to be a total brat and other personalities depending on your parenting style, whom you married, or if you adopted)
Ability to jump, use a net, use binoculars, ride a scooter, swing on vines, ride a pterosaur around the jungle, cook using a fire pit, learn bird calls and play it on a flute, and other features to come.
Take on part time jobs to make more money. (Examples: Coffee bean harvesting, mushroom gathering, human test subject, ghost hunting, etc.)
Pay bills.
See couples married and/or have children. This means you have competition in the love world.
Unravel the mystery of why the birds are disappearing.
Get multiple endings depending on how well you did collecting and hatching birds, how you raised your family, and other factors such as the main plot.

Story:
You’ve always been interested in birds, ever since you were little. On your tenth birthday your parents gave you binoculars and you haven’t stop birdwatching since.
You would write about the different birds you saw and even learned their mating calls. You lived in a suburban area so there wasn’t really exotic birds, but you were content with the birds you could observe.
Your parents wouldn’t let you keep a bird however, even though you wanted to desperately. You always said you would have a lot of pet birds and you would love and care for each of them.
Some years have passed and you are now twenty one years of age, working in an office to make ends meet, though your love for birds has not diminished.
You’ve been applying to different research jobs out of the country to research birds, but so far nothing has come to fruition.
Then it happened. One day the government job you applied to figuring you would never hear back from contacts you and asks if you can pack your bags right away and head to Iji, a jungle island with a dying bird population.
They want you to collect a male and female of each bird type and hatch an egg of each type as well. They tell you it won’t be easy and it won’t pay much, but if you really want the job it’s yours.
You jump at the chance and quit your office job for a life full of adventure.
It all seems wonderful, but maybe you are too over eager and optimistic. In any case you arrive by boat to Iji and never look back.
Will you be able to complete the task at hand? What about your personal life?
Perhaps there is more to life then just birdwatching.

He says he's seen a spirit in the forest. Who knows if that is true or not however.

Maybe you can get through that tough exterior and find a wonderful person within? If she's mad she won't hesitate to tell you and she has the tongue of a sailor. She doesn't take crap from anybody, she's the guardian of the forest and she will have respect!

He thinks a war is going on between the birds and some evil spirit. He doesn't have any evidence to back that claim up though. He doesn't really get personal boundaries and has a hard time staying out of trouble. He takes care of his grandmother when he isn't running about acting like a fool or what he calls being a detective. It's hard to tell who is taking care of whom.
