Hmm. I'm perplexed by this. Is it possible to make the most ridiculous sports game ever invented? Stapler Chucking, High-Speed Knitting, Train Outrunning... hmmm.

What is Free Form? Any format goes! But the game must at least run on Win32 platforms. Sorry.
Does that mean that the game must be desktop based? Or anything that runs on Win32 (exe, browser-based)?

So long as it runs on a win32 machine you're good. The rule's purpose, I'd assume, is to ensure a baseline of accessibility.

E-Sports Design DiscussionFor anyone participating in this competition, I would suggest perusing this forum thread for a few possible ideas. I'm a little tempted to jump in on this competition myself. I've gotten a bit better at Unity, and could probably throw together something basic with their built-in physics.

Rules: Entries should be started and ended within the time frame of the competition (feel free to put up your game threads and begin brainstorming earlier, though) and must be made for the competition only. Collaborations are allowed and, in fact, are welcomed. You may submit more than one game (up to a maximum of three).
It's perfectly okay to reuse old code and pre-built engines and/or frameworks. It's only the game itself that needs to be done in the compo's timeframe.
Not sure about graphics/music though.

Nice, Fishing is a sport? Awesome, now I have an excuse to make this fishing game idea that's been floating in my head for a while now.

Greetings to all. Before opening a separate thread to enter the competition I have a question about the rules. Is it allowed the presence of two similar games? Specifically, Gladiator School ( http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=29470.0) has a setting similar to the game that I and my brothers are planning (argh!) In short: fantasy-fighting-arena-ugly monsters. Our game, however, focuses on multiplayer combat and RPG for character development rather than considering managerial and strategic stuff. Given that we are rookies we do not want to start off on the wrong foot (I really hope that this expression is properly translated from italian... eh). Thank you.

Your game sounds completely different from mine. Even if it wasn't, it would be interesting to see how that would end up. Good luck!

As teknopants said, many games can stem from one concept depending on execution.

Well, I'm out. I'm more with the Macintosh computers... I'm still on a PowerPC computer, actually, still using an iMac G5. Actually, if there's one thing that I could do if I wanted to (completely winging it here), I could have attempted a SNES game... heh.
