Draw your character, then play with him!

Draw him some flippers for water levels, or a space helmet for space levels, etcetera!

I want I want

WHY is a whale being drawn?  I guess I'll find out when I play!

Come on, you know this is seriously cool.  The game almost didn't come out, but THQ saved the day and decided to publish it.  It's like the Rakugaki Kingdom of the 2D gaming world!  DISCUSS!

There are a bunch of games with drawing elements lately -- there's one crayon indie game where what you draw appears and you have to solve puzzles with it, there's Okami, and now this. I like the idea, I think the drawing mechanic has potential.

This looks quite interesting and it just made my "to get" list.
From what I can see, the drawing part seems only to modify the aspect of your avatar but it's quite hard to tell with those screen shots.

When is the game coming out?

Cool, like those PS2 games with the paint 3D model engine (Teddy?).  However, I wonder if the flaw with all these games is your inability to share what you make.  You could spend the time precisely crafting some pixel art.  But you can't really show it off, except in person or with a camera.  Would that discourage you from putting the effort in?

Apparently, you can trade them with others over Wi-Fi.

Looks neat-o.

Hahaha I decompiled and edited that thing to take my own photoshop drawings, and to enlarge the visible area of the animation.  It was so tiny!  It's actually a contest site.  Your character could end up in the game.  I was SOOO tempted to send them my photoshop created images, but that would be cheating.  Maybe I'll do it with an obvious photo manipulation just to surprise them.

I tried to get it to save to a local file, but I think that might be impossible.  Maybe not impossible, but definitely impossible for me Tongue.  Their file saving code was done through PHP, so I have no idea what their script does with the data the flash app sends.

Too bad it doesn't use layers like the cover implies :/

Why do those two little characters in the background have two beefy arms sticking out of their heads?

Of course YOU would think those are beefy arms, Mr Popeye.  Those are their rabbit-like ears!  Look at the old man with the monocle.  He's holding a cane.  And the kid with the scarf has his arms stretched out to the sides.  The girl has her hands clasped in adoration on the side of her face.

Well those rabbits must pump some serious iron with those ears.
